To be considered as an adopter, you must:
                • Be 21 years of age or older.
                • If you rent your home you must have consent from your landlord.
                • Have all dogs and cats in the home spay or neutered, if they are 6 months or older, unless there are medical reasons for not doing so.
                • Have all dogs/cats in the home up to date on vaccinations.
                • Agree to have a home visit done by one of our volunteers. The volunteer will need to see the area of the home where the dog will be allowed and also visit with family members and current pets. Distance is a factor in whether or not the required home visit can be completed. We are a 100% volunteer run organization. Although we do have volunteer contacts in many areas, some areas may be difficult for us to locate a volunteer to conduct the home visit. We will let you know ASAP if your application needs to be denied due to our inability to find a volunteer to conduct the home visit.

Our adoption process includes four steps:

                1-     completion of an application

2-     a veterinary reference check on any past and current pets- (pets should be/have been,
spayed/neutered and current on recommended vaccinations including rabies)

3-     a meet and greet with the adoptable animal and the person fostering them.

                4-
a home visit  (The home visit is not a "white-glove" test of your housekeeping skills it's
simply a walk-through of your home, to be sure it's a safe/ good place for a rescue dog)

We attempt to move applications through our system in a timely manner and can often complete the entire process within a week's time, depending on availability of both, the volunteers involved and the applicant.  Our goal is to place our adoptable animals in loving and safe environments as quickly as possible. However, these pets have been displaced at least once all ready, it is our goal to ensure they find a dedicated responsible forever home.

All of our adoptable animals come from foster homes and with age-appropriate vaccinations.  All of our animals will be spayed/neutered or, if they are too young, will require a spay/neuter contract/agreement and $50 deposit.  The deposit is refunded upon verification of the surgery.  Adoption fees vary, please go to available dogs/ or cats and click on the name of the dog, it will show a description of the dog including their fee.

An approved application means that the applicant is approved to adopt a dog from our organization, it is not a guarantee that the applicant will be allowed to adopt the dog specified on the application.
                Please keep in mind
                We do not hold dogs.
If you are asked for further information please provide this as soon as possible.
If  another home has applied in the meantime, meeting all qualifications prior to you
completely submitting your information, or arranging the home visit,
the dog may go to the other home.
We also do not necessarily adopt on a first come, first serve basis.
We select the best home for a particular pet.
We are volunteers with families and jobs.
Please be patient with our response back to you.
